About Hughes Plant Farm
Hughes Plant Farm is a family owned business for 32 years. We offer many varieties of bedding plants, shrubs, hanging baskets, trees and more!
Located at 19980 Hwy. 69 South, Tyler, TX 75703, Hughes Plant Farm operates as a garden center serving Tyler in Texas. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
In Tyler, nurseries are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in Texas, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Check the listing for hours, seasonal closures and Google rating before you go.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 7 am–5 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (903) 894-7737. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, hughesplantfarm.com.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.6 out of 5 from 381 reviews, which is a strong result for a garden center in Tyler and suggests consistent service.
Tyler is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Traffic in Tyler peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I absolutely loved this plant farm! 🪴Everything was so organized and there were signs everywhere to help guide you to exactly what you’re looking for. I came in looking for 4 things and left with 3! Hopefully they have rosemary next time I come because that was the one thing I couldn’t find. I LOVE their prices and one of my favorite things is the warranty they offer! If one of the plants you purchase doesn’t grow or ends up dying they have you covered. 60 days and keep the receipt or last 4 of the card you paid with🙌🏼 Here are a few pictures so y’all can see what it looks like! Bring an umbrella because you’ll definitely be browsing for longer than 30 minutes 😂☀️ They also have carts right up front that you can take with you while you shop to put all your plants in. 10/10 experience and I’ll definitely be back! 🪴🤍

I love Hughes Plant Farm and was lucky to meet Rudy on a recent visit! He delivered and planted the golden euonymus I purchased. He even threw in a few extra flowers for more color! Thanks Rudy…excellent job!👍

I have been looking for a Desert Rose for about 4 years. I stopped into Hughes Plant Farm to get my vegetable plants and asked to speak with someone who orders plants. I think her name is Jessica. She told me they do get some in occasionally, so I gave her my name and number not really expecting a call....she called, left me a voice mail and they got some in 😃. Went there this morning to buy it. Very happy customer 😀.

A high shout out to the informative staff and especially those who load heavy items in the vehicle. They should receive daily massages after work. They are so kind and perform the task without a complaint. Love the vibe of this place. A large selection of healthy beautiful trees, shrubs, and flowers.
